Qualification
before access.
BBI reduces three kinds of friction: unclear counterparties, unclear authority and unclear requirements. The model is deliberately simple, because the work is not.
Three beats
Qualify → Connect → Develop
Everything below is an expansion of these three. Nothing in our process exists outside them.
Three beats, in order.
Qualify
Determine whether the counterparty and the commercial requirement are credible enough to advance. This is where most enquiries stop, and that is the point.
Connect
Create controlled access between appropriate institutional counterparties — the right organization, the right decision-maker, the right commercial context.
Develop
Help transform a successful introduction into a durable commercial relationship, and into repeat opportunity where the fit proves real.
Seven stages, applied with judgment.
Real transactions vary. This is the discipline BBI works to, not a rigid sequence — stages overlap, repeat, or end early when the evidence does not support advancing.
Originate
Develop qualified demand, supply-side relationships, and institutional opportunities directly rather than recirculating market offers.
Qualify
Assess entity identity, decision-making authority, commercial capability, and transaction readiness. Evidence is graded, not assumed.
Structure
Align product, volume, destination, timing, logistics, documentation, and commercial expectations before introduction.
Protect
Define roles, control disclosure, and establish appropriate relationship safeguards before counterparties are introduced.
Introduce
Make a controlled introduction between the appropriate parties, with each side's commercial position and BBI's role defined in advance.
Coordinate
Keep the process moving: information flow, open items, sequencing and clarity about what has been established and what remains unresolved. Counterparties retain every commercial decision.
Support Execution
Remain engaged through transaction development and recurring business as appropriate. Contracting parties retain execution authority and every final commercial decision.
Introductions are governed.
BBI protects relationships through appropriate agreements, controlled disclosure, and clearly defined roles. Counterparty identity and commercial terms remain confidential until the proper framework is in place.
Transaction integrity and commercial boundariesSee the standard behind the model.
The BBI Qualification Standard sets out what we establish before an institutional introduction is made — and how we distinguish confirmed evidence from representation.
